This year we had the opportunity to be part of the incredible 2023 Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival, one of Canada's biggest summer events. It was an absolute blast, and we had the chance to meet so many amazing people from all over the country. The festival brought together folks from every corner of Canada to celebrate its 35th anniversary, while enjoying the excitement of dragon boat races set against the backdrop of Vancouver's stunning scenery.
We have to thank Andrea and Robert from Got Craft for organizing the event so smoothly. All the tents and tables are already set up at our booth, all we had to do is to set it up ourselves!
One of our major goals this year is to focus on fostering community engagement and building connections. The design process can sometimes be isolating, but we have discovered immense joy in establishing genuine person-to-person relationships with every individual who took the time to check us out! Whether you're a passionate Dragon Boat racer, a supportive friend or family member, or even a curious passerby, we’d love to thank those who visited our event and showed interest in what we do!
Your appreciation and enjoyment of our socks validated the countless hours we spent drawing the embroidery designs, meticulously packaging each pair, and brainstorming creative social media campaigns. Your presence and encouragement made it all worthwhile, and we can't thank you enough for being a part of our journey.
It was also amazing that we get the chance to connect with talented local artists who shared their wonderful artwork alongside ours. We made some great friends along the way! It's always inspiring to witness the creativity and talent of artists from the local community. It really made us appreciate the vibrant arts scene of Vancouver, and we are so grateful to call this beautiful city our home.
Participating in local events like this allows us to celebrate our shared passions, connect with others, and create lasting memories. It was definitely a blast!
